Polytechnic University of Setúbal – Politécnico de Setúbal (IPS) and aicep Global Parques: innovation and regional talent
The Polytechnic University of Setúbal – Politécnico de Setúbal (IPS) is a public higher education institution founded in 1979, with a history marked by innovation and close links to the world of work. Based in Setúbal and also present in Barreiro, IPS comprises five schools covering key areas of knowledge: Engineering, Technologies, Social Sciences, Education, Sport, Business Sciences and Health.
With a strong practical focus and training in real work contexts, IPS invests in applied research, contributing actively to sustainable development and to the qualification of the region’s human capital.
In this context, the partnership between IPS and aicep Global Parques, particularly within the BlueBiz – Setúbal Peninsula Business Park, stands as a solid example of cooperation between academia and the business sector, generating synergies and concrete results. Since 2012, aicep Global Parques has also been promoting academic excellence through the annual award of Merit Scholarships to students, totalling 50.
