Investments in ZILS exceed €20 billion, reinforcing the region’s dynamism

The projects planned for ZILS – Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone, managed by aicep Global Parques, continue to grow in both number and scale, with cumulative investments which are expected to exceed € 20 billion. This was highlighted in an article published by Expresso Newspapper on 27 February 2026, part of the Portugal Produz series, for which CEO Isabel Caldeira Cardoso and ZILS Director Miguel Borralho were interviewed.

ZILS, covering 3,306 hectares dedicated to industrial and logistics activities, has attracted investment intentions across strategic sectors such as energy, industry, data centres, and green hydrogen production. Projects under consideration include large-scale data centres, green steel production units, facilities for hydrogen and ammonia production, and initiatives for decarbonisation and advanced fuel production.
