Portugal has been gaining increasing relevance in the European medical cannabis market. According to data from INFARMED, around 80 tonnes were exported in 2025, 156% more than in the previous year. In the first half of 2026, exports had already reached 66.3 tonnes, confirming this growth. Germany remains the main destination market.
