Refira-se que, na base do desenvolvimento da ferramenta Web Global Find está um aturado levantamento, realizado a nível nacional, dos lotes disponíveis em parques industriais e logísticos ou em zonas PDM (Plano Director Municipal) para a instalação da actividade empresarial, bem como um estudo aprofundado das características e das condições facultadas por esses lotes em termos da qualidade das infra-estruturas de base e de apoio, acessibilidades, envolvente
demográfica, morfologia do terreno ou urbanismo dominante, permitindo assim aos investidores a adopção de opções bem fundamentadas para a localização ideal de cada unidade empresarial.
Desenvolvido sobre uma plataforma de Sistemas de Informação Geográfica, o Global Find permite ao utilizador, através do site www.globalparques.pt, efectuar pesquisas livres num mapa ou identificar alternativas de localização através de diversos critérios pré-definidos, contribuindo para o bom desempenho das organizações que utilizam a inteligência geográfica na análise da realidade envolvente e como um dos suportes das suas opções estratégicas.
