Nova CIM da Península de Setúbal reforça oportunidades na região

Setúbal Peninsula CIM strengthens opportunities in the region

The Intermunicipal Community (CIM) of the Setúbal Peninsula was formally established on 15 December, bringing together the municipalities of Alcochete, Almada, Barreiro, Moita, Montijo, Palmela, Seixal, Sesimbra, and Setúbal. Frederico Rosa, Mayor of Barreiro, was elected president of the CIM, with Maria das Dores Meira and Paulo Silva serving as vice-presidents.

The new structure aims to promote the economic and business development of the region by fostering collaboration between municipalities, strengthening local competitiveness, and facilitating access to European funds. Its goal is to create conditions that encourage investment, innovation, and the attraction of new projects to the territory.

This framework will support the growth and dynamism of BlueBiz – Setúbal Peninsula Business Park, valued for its strategic location and its high potential to host businesses, establishing it as a key hub for regional business development.
