Presentation Session of the Renewable Energy Community (REC) in Sines
Within the framework of the WESHARE initiative, of which ZILS – Sines Industrial & Logistic Zone is one of the pilot projects, a Presentation and Explanation Session on the creation of the Renewable Energy Community (REC) in Sines took place on 25 June at the ZILS Business Centre.
Organised by aicep Global Parques in partnership with ENA – Agência de Energia e Ambiente da Arrábida (Energy and Environment Agency of Arrábida), the session was attended by representatives from 13 different organisations, including companies and local institutions.
With interventions from Miguel Borralho, Director of ZILS, and Orlando Paraíba, representative of ENA, the objectives and next steps for establishing the REC were presented. The REC aims to promote a collaborative model for the production and sharing of renewable energy, generating economic and environmental benefits for the companies based in ZILS.
This initiative reinforces the commitment of aicep Global Parques and its partners to promoting sustainability and the energy transition in Sines.
